.X Factor judge Louis Walsh hits back at 'sick' groping accusations
Jun 24 2011 By Clemmie Moodie

DISTRAUGHT X Factor judge Louis Walsh has spoken out about "malicious" claims that he groped a male fan in a club.

Fighting back tears, the shell-shocked Irishman said when he found out, it was "the worst night of my life."

He has been comforted by celebrities including Simon Cowell, Elton John and Cheryl Cole.

A 24-year-old man alleges Walsh grabbed his crotch as they chatted in the toilets of Dublin's Krystle club in the early hours of April 10.

Police are said to be studying CCTV footage.

Walsh, 58, returned home to Dublin last night to help police with their inquiries, determined to clear his name. He also spent nearly two hours on the phone to Cowell, who reassured him his job and reputation were secure.

Speaking from his room at London's Kensington Hotel, Walsh said: "I'm flabbergasted by the completely unfounded and malicious allegations.

"Anyone who knows me, knows this is all a pack of lies."This guy is a complete chancer and talking a load of utter rubbish, just trying to make a quick buck.

"I don't even know who this guy is, just that he's a sick, nasty person trying to destroy my good name.

"When I found out, it really was the worst night of my life. I haven't slept
at all.

"If there is a positive to emerge from this mess, it's the overwhelming support I've had from friends, family and the public. Simon has been in touch and has been amazing.

"It's at times like these you need good friends and it's at times like this you truly realise who your friends are."Walsh's X Factor colleagues Dermot O'Leary, Tulisa Constavlos and Cheryl have all called him. Michael McIntyre, Sharon Osbourne, Elton John, David Furnish, Sir Philip Green and Kay Burley have also been in touch.

Walsh added: "Westlife were there that night. Shane Filan sat with me the entire evening and we had a great night.

"He witnessed how I behaved. The whole band did. We were just relaxing after their concert in Dublin earlier in the evening."

It is understood the man who made the allegations told Westlife he was "on a mission" to become a celebrity.

Louis Walsh 'unlikely to face charges over assault claims'

Simon Cowell has vowed to support Louis Walsh over indecent assault accusations while a report claims that the music manager is "highly unlikely" to face charges.

A 24-year-old man has alleged that the X Factor judge indecently assaulted him in the toilets of a Dublin nightclub earlier this year. Walsh has stated that the claims are "wholly false" and has vowed to clear his name.

However, it has been reported that the man behind the complaint changed his story after CCTV footage failed to back up his allegations of being groped on the dancefloor of Krystle nightclub.

"The fellow that is making the complaint is an up and coming socialite who is trying to get involved in a reality TV show. He was speaking and drinking with Louis Walsh in the club on the night and he alleged that something happened," a source told The Mirror.

"He originally told Gardaí (Irish police) that he was groped on the dancefloor of the club. However he later said it happened in the bathroom, where there is no CCTV located."

The insider continued: "We are not talking about an invasive sort of alleged attack and officers are not confident that charges will be brought in this case. Nevertheless, a full investigation will be carried out and Gardaí will speak with all parties involved. CCTV has been taken from the club as part of the investigation."

Meanwhile X Factor boss Simon Cowell has given 58-year-old Walsh his full support.

"I have known Louis Walsh for 20 years and I don't believe for a second that these allegations are true," Cowell told The Sun. "I feel very sorry for him. I've spoken to him today and he is really upset. It's horrible. Like all of his close friends I will support him 100 per cent."Police are expected to interview staff at both Krystal and the Russell Court Hotel before speaking to Walsh.

"An investigation is ongoing," a police source told the paper.

> Simon Cowell is a loyal good man, says Louis Walsh

Simon Cowell: I back Louis Walsh 100%
X Factor boss hits out at 'sex attack' probe

Read more: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/3656224/Simon-Cowell-I-back-Louis-Walsh-100-over-indecent-assault-claims.html#ixzz1QB7f5uX1

SIMON Cowell vowed last night to back X Factor judge Louis Walsh "100 per cent" over claims that he indecently assaulted a man in a nightclub toilet.
Show supremo Cowell, 51, told The Sun: "I don't believe for a second these allegations are true."

Louis, 58, denies molesting a 24-year-old single dad in Dublin after a Westlife gig.

He said last night: "I'm devastated by these completely unfounded and malicious allegations. Anyone who knows me knows this is all a pack of lies."

The multi-millionaire music boss insisted he would fight the claims, vowing: "I won't take this lying down."

The Sun revealed yesterday that a man had told cops Louis groped his private parts in a nightclub toilet after a concert by Westlife, the boyband he created.

But Louis refuted the man's story and said Westlife could help prove he was innocent.

He said: "Westlife were there. The whole band witnessed how I behaved. There was nothing untoward at all."

He described his accuser as "a chancer" and went on: "I am shocked by these allegations against me but I am going to fight to clear my name.

"I don't even know who this guy is, just that he's a sick, nasty person.

"I have instructed lawyers and I am not going to let this guy get away with peddling lies about me. No one who knows me believes this story. I have had hundreds of messages of support, which means so much.

"This is not fair on my friends, family or artists I work with - especially when I have had no formal contact from the police to put these allegations to me. I will fight this all the way.

"I will happily co-operate fully with the police and am 100 per cent confident that after a full investigation I will be fully exonerated.

False
"The allegations made against me are wholly false and with no foundation."

Cops seized CCTV film from Dublin's Russell Court Hotel from the night of the alleged attack on April 10.

The unnamed dad claims he met Louis after the Westlife gig in the Irish capital and they socialised in the hotel's private Global Bar.

He says that later they went on to the Russell Court's famous Krystle nightclub, where the TV star assaulted him when he went to the loo.

X Factor boss Cowell told The Sun last night from his home in LA: "I have known Louis Walsh for 20 years and I don't believe for a second that these allegations are true.

"I feel very sorry for him. I've spoken to him today and he is really upset. It's horrible.

"Like all of his close friends I will support him 100 per cent."

Mary Byrne, 51, the Irish singer eliminated in last year's X Factor semi-finals, said: "I don't believe it, not with Mr Walsh - he's too much of a gentleman."

Shane Lynch of Boyzone, Louis's first hit boyband, said: "I'd rather not comment - I don't want to make anything of a matter that doesn't exist."

On Wednesday Louis filmed an interview with comic Alan Carr for tonight's episode of Carr's Channel 4 chat show, Chatty Man.

He talked about X Factor and Cheryl's axing as a judge on the US version of the show.

An onlooker said: "He didn't look too bothered to be honest - but he wasn't smiley and mischievous."

Last night the alleged victim was still refusing to comment.

Police are expected to question staff of the Russell Court and Krystle before they speak to Louis himself.

A source said: "An investigation is ongoing."

Louis became a household name in 2004 as a judge on The X Factor alongside Cowell and Sharon.

He is now the only remaining member of the original panel still on the ITV1 show.

The other judges in the current series are Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos and Kelly Rowland.

His other star act Jedward refused to comment on the allegations yesterday as they attended a charity competition at a school in Dublin.

One pal said of the allegation: "It couldn't have come at a worse time for him, given that they've just started filming the new series of X Factor. But he's determined that he will be exonerated."

Heartbroken and suicidal’ Louis will hire bodyguards to protect him 24/7 after night club groping claimsBy Caitriona Gaffney

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2008254/Heartbroken-suicidal-Louis-hire-bodyguards-protect-24-7-night-club-groping-claims.html

Louis Walsh has agreed to hire a security team after first resisting calls from friends and fasmily

Louis Walsh will hire a security team to accompany and protect him in public from now on.
For more than two years, the 58-year-old X Factor judge has resisted calls from family and friends for a bodyguard.

But in light of this week’s allegations that he groped a 24-year-old single father in April, Louis has relented.
The Westlife and Jedward manager arrived back in Ireland on Thursday night to face claims that he had groped the man in the toilets of Krystle nightclub on Harcourt Street, Dublin, on April 10 after a Westlife concert in the city earlier this year.
He was met at the airport by a very good friend who accompanied him back to town.

On Friday, the Mayo music guru spent the entire day at the Four Seasons Hotel in Ballsbridge, where he was interviewed under caution by detectives from Pearse Street Garda station.

He is said to have found the Garda interview draining and exhausting even though he had nothing to hide and will be exonerated.
A source said: ‘It absolutely really drained him but it had to be done.’
The claims are said to have knocked the pop svengali for six. The close friend and confidant said: ‘He looked like a ghost. He genuinely looked like his whole family had been wiped out.
Showbiz: Louis Walsh with Simon Cowell, Britney Spears, Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue
The venue: The alleged assault is said to have taken place at the Krystle nightclub, inside Dublin's Russell Court Hotel

‘The situation makes his stomach feel sick. When he said he felt suicidal, I don’t think he was far off.
‘He still can’t talk about it without crying. He is absolutely heartbroken and will have to change his life.
‘He has been far too accessible for too long and this has got to change. He doesn’t use VIP entrances anywhere; he goes into clubs the same way as everyone else. He doesn’t consider himself a celebrity at all.
‘Louis is like the Pied Piper. He takes time to speak to everyone who wants to talk. He is very generous with his time and will stop to pose for photos, sign autographs and even listen to people’s opinions. He just doesn’t say no to anyone.’
Determined to clear his name, Louis has hired top celebrity lawyer Paul Tweed, whose clients have included Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez and Colin Farrell.
Back to work: Louis Walsh arrives at the London Studios for X Factor on Friday
Last night, Walsh said: ‘It didn’t happen so there is no case to answer and I am extremely angry that someone is trying to tarnish my name. My phone has not stopped ringing with messages of support from around the world, which means so much to me.’
According to those who know him best, Louis intends to make his return to celeb haunt Krystle, run by his friends Conor Buckley and Brian O’Malley – when the time is right.
‘He loves the club and has great respect for Conor and Brian. He has nothing to hide but it will be a while before he is back again,’ said our source.
Louis will remain in Ireland until Tuesday evening, when he is due in Cardiff for X Factor auditions the following day.
From Cardiff, Louis and his X Factor colleagues, Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos and Kelly

Louis Walsh 'overjoyed' after sexual assault case against him is dropped by police
By Sara Nathan

Last updated at 2:01 PM on 28th June 2011

'Overjoyed': Louis Walsh has told of his relief after police dropped a sexual assault case against him
Louis Walsh is ‘relieved and overjoyed’ today after being told that police have dropped a sexual assault case against him.
The X Factor judge had spent the past five days embroiled in a ‘nightmare’ after a 24-year-man accused him of groping him in a nightclub toilet.

Mr Walsh was interviewed by detectives last Friday in Dublin after spending six hours with his legal team.
However, the 58-year-old millionaire music manager was told that Irish Garda would not be proceeding with the case on Monday night.

Mr Walsh told the Mail: ‘I have been informed by An Garda Síochána that I am now no longer under investigation. I have robustly maintained from the outset that this alleged incident did not occur.
‘While I obviously welcome today’s confirmation from the Garda that the matter has been dropped

I remain outraged that this story ran in the first place in The Sun and I have instructed my libel lawyer to vigorously pursue legal action against the paper.

I have no intention of letting this matter rest until I have received total and absolute vindication.

This has been a hugely distressing time for me but I would like to thank all my friends and colleagues for their support and I am now just looking forward to getting back to work.'

A source told the Mail: ‘Louis has been living under a cloud – it has been a nightmare and he has been in tears.

‘He was trying to be strong, but the prospect of this case dragging on for the next few months was taking its toll on him.’
Mr Walsh will later today arrive in Cardiff to prepare for X Factor auditions tomorrow and the source added: ‘Louis just looks forward to getting justice.’

The single father claimed that Mr Walsh groped him in the Krystle nightclub in Dublin on April 10.
Claims: The man alleged Walsh had groped him in the toilets of the Krystle nightclub in Dublin
However, police sources suggested that a lack of CCTV evidence and the fact that the complainant has apparently changed his story on several occasions mean it was ‘very unlikely’ that the reality show judge would be arrested.

‘There has been a change of story a few times and there is no evidence at this stage that backs up the man’s claims,’ an insider said.

‘The [CCTV] footage shows very little and at this stage there are no immediate plans to interview anybody else in connection with this.’

At the time, Mr Walsh denounced the man as a ‘chancer’,
and told the Mail: ‘I’ve been stitched up. I’m going to fight this – I’m not going to let someone who wants to tarnish my name get away with it.

Support: Simon Cowell came out in support of Walsh after the allegations first emerged
'It's hurtful that someone can do this and think they can get away with it.‘To be honest, I'm flabbergasted by the completely unfounded allegations.’

‘I'm keeping my head up, and staying proud -
I have done absolutely nothing wrong and this will become clear.’

He had the full support of Simon Cowell, who said: ‘I don't believe for a second these allegations are true.
‘I have known Louis Walsh for 20 years and I don't believe for a second that these allegations are true.
Screen star: Walsh appears with Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos and Kelly Rowland in the new series of the X Factor
‘I feel very sorry for him. I've spoken to him today and he is really upset. It's horrible. Like all of his close friends I will support him 100 per cent.'
Mr Walsh met the man after attending a concert by Westlife, the Irish boyband he created.

The man allegedly told police he chatted with Mr Walsh in the hotel’s private Global Bar, before the pair moved on to its well-known Krystle nightclub.

His statement to officers claims the TV star then indecently assaulted him in the nightclub’s toilets.

Mr Walsh is on the judging panel for this year’s X Factor, alongside Gary Barlow from Take That, Kelly Rowland from Destiny’s Child and N-Dubz singer Tulisa Contostavlos.

'I thought: Should I just end it all?': Louis Walsh on the false sex assault claim
By Philip Nolan

Last updated at 4:48 AM on 17th July 2011
The stress of the past few weeks has led Louis Walsh to lose weight

Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2015609/X-Factor-judge-Louis-Walsh-talks-moment-falsely-branded-sex-attacker.html#ixzz1SNXOCHb9

It was the moment that Louis Walsh thought his life was over. A moment so shocking that, he confesses, he did wonder whether it would be easier to end that life himself. In a matter of hours, he knew he was about to be falsely branded a sex attacker.

The fact that the claim was completely untrue didn’t help: it almost made it worse.

‘All I could think was: “How will I tell my family? Should I just f***ing take tablets and forget about it?” I swear to God, I swear to GOD…’ he repeats emphatically as his voice cracks with emotion ‘…I thought it was the easiest way out, that my whole life was ended.

‘I thought, I can never go back to Dublin, I can never walk a street again. I actually didn’t call any of my family but one of my brothers called me when the story broke and pledged support.

‘My mother was great. She was the easiest person about the whole thing. I thought she’d be, “Oh, I’m not going to be able to go to Mass’, or thinking the neighbours would be looking at her. But she was absolutely fine. She said, “Look, we know it’s not true.” All of my family were fine.’

Louis is reliving the horrific events of Tuesday 21 June, a day the Westlife manager and X Factor judge will never forget: and he is reliving the long weekend that followed before his accuser, Leonard Watters, 24, was arrested and charged with making false accusations.

In the plush surrounds of the Four Seasons Hotel in Ballsbridge, where he is a regular diner, Louis looks tired.

He admits he didn’t get asleep until 3.30am, and even then only with the aid of a sleeping tablet. Inability to sleep is a horribly familiar pattern since the ordeal he endured.

And it is not an ordeal that being on television can in any way inure you to. Louis is, after all, a person. As he says, everyone reading his story should imagine, that, two months after they spent a night out with friends, they received a phone call making such a heinous allegation... and telling them that, whatever they said, the allegation would be spread around the world the following morning.

All you can do, he says, is try to quell the dread that suddenly is making you feel physically sick.

‘I was in the British Midland lounge at Dublin Airport, on the way to London for the taping of Chatty Man, the Alan Carr show. My band, Wonderland, were also appearing,’ he explains.
‘I was having a coffee and reading the papers when my phone rang. A journalist from the Sun said he had a story about me and that the paper was going to run it. He said there had been an allegation against me of sexual assault on a man at a Dublin nightclub.

‘I denied it immediately. When I switched the phone off, I literally thought I was going to faint. So I had some water and I got on the plane and I called Sara Lee, who handles the X Factor public relations in the UK, and asked her to come down to the Alan Carr show because I needed to talk to her about something.
Support: Louis was inundated with texts, including messages from Simon Cowell and Dannii Minogue

‘I couldn’t tell anybody else, not Wonderland, not anyone. I kept getting texts from the journalist saying he wanted to meet me but I turned it all over to Sara and asked her to handle it.

‘On the flight, all I could do was think, what could it be? What have they got? I knew I had done nothing. That was the most frustrating thing about it.

‘I don’t even remember doing the Alan Carr show, even though I had to apologise to Bruce Forsyth on air for a comment I once made to the effect that I thought he was dead,’ Louis explains.

‘The worst journey for me was leaving the studio, going in the car to the Kensington Hotel. I’ll never forget it, because I couldn’t even talk to Sara in case the driver overheard it. I thought I was going to explode.

‘At the hotel, I couldn’t sleep and I wouldn’t let Sara leave the room. She had to sleep with me in the bed. I just couldn’t let her leave.’

Sara Lee, his PR guru, was supportive and believed him immediately, but Louis was rigid with fear.

‘My first thought was “Who else is going to believe me?” Over the years, you always think, “What if…?” and now, suddenly, it was happening.

‘I still didn’t even know the full details of the story that was going to be on the front page of next day’s Sun.’
After speaking to his family, Louis immediately cancelled his plans to attend Elton John and David Furnish’s White Tie and Tiara Ball on the Wednesday.
‘Elton called me and said, “Look, I know about this paper – they did it to me, and I know it’s untrue.” But I knew I just couldn’t face it.

‘Sara and I met Richard Holloway, who produces The X Factor, and I knew he believed me. I knew I had to get clearance. I couldn’t be on a family show if I had that hanging over me. I could have been sacked. I could actually have gone there and then.

Sir Elton John, with husband David Furnish, told Louis, 'Look, I know it's untrue'
‘It seemed like everything I had worked for, all my life, could suddenly disappear. It really affected me. It really did.’

Despite his unease at returning to Ireland, Louis’s close friends, publicist Joanne Byrne and his X Factor aide Caroline Desmond (wife of rock promoter Denis Desmond) convinced him to fly back to Dublin on the Thursday.

‘They met me at the airport, and I used the VIP exit there for the first time ever,’ Louis says. ‘I got off the flight and I was just gaga, I can’t explain it. Joanne said it was like seeing a dead man walking towards her.’
She told him she wanted him in Ireland so that they could gather the best people around him – his friends, publicity managers and a top legal team.

‘But it was still a front-page story,’ Louis continues, ‘except, now, it was in all the newspapers and it went all around the world. I was getting texts from everybody, including Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole, Dannii Minogue and Sharon Osbourne, saying, “We know you’re innocent”. Everyone saw through the story except the paper that wrote it.

‘I found I couldn’t look at the papers, watch television, turn on the radio. I got through it only because I have some really good friends. That’s the only good thing about it. There are a lot of really good people out there.’
Back in Dublin, he made for his favourite bolthole, the Four Seasons.

‘I spent all day on the Friday at a table in the restaurant, from half-ten in the morning until one o’clock the next morning. The investigating garda had made contact by that stage and I met him at the hotel, too.

‘We had brought in Paul Tweed (a top defamation lawyer who often acts for showbusiness clients, most recently model Rosanna Davison in her successful case against Ryanair) and Gavin Bonnar (the barrister husband of Sharon Corr) and they put us in touch with a criminal lawyer.

‘I was in a daze. I’d never even had a security guy with me and suddenly I was going through a full 25 hours of legal procedure over a single weekend.’

The only thing that kept him going was his sense of outrage that the allegation had been published and the unwavering confidence in his own innocence.

‘That’s why I put out a very strong statement of denial on the Friday and said I would sue the Sun,’ he explains. ‘I think people were very surprised by the language, because it was so robust. And I could do that because the claims were untrue. There wasn’t a single shred of truth in the allegations.

‘I knew I had to fight it and I couldn’t understand why someone would want to ruin me. I’ve never been bad to anyone. Yes, I’m a bit gobby and opinionated but I don’t think I’m bad.’

For five days, his world seemed to be imploding. A meeting with a criminal lawyer on the Monday night left Louis in no doubt of the potential repercussions if he were found guilty. The sentence for the alleged offence was a minimum nine months in gaol.

He left Joanne Byrne’s office at 10.10pm and, completely out of the blue, received a phone call from the investigating garda who told him that there would be no charges.

‘Until the phone rang, we had nothing to indicate this was all going to go away,’ Louis smiles.

‘I will never, ever forget that moment for all of my life. The garda was incredibly nice to me and I cried for ages. What a relief! I had my life back. I could get up the following day and not worry.

‘Joanne came round after midnight and she told me she could see the old Louis, the real Louis, was back. This horrendous, disgusting weight that had been dragging me down – it all ended with that two-minute phone call.’
New team: Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos and Kelly Rowland have joined Louis as judges on X Factor
But elation can often be followed by a sort of post-traumatic shock, as Louis has learned in the weeks since.
‘I’m fine, mostly, but I have bad days,’ he admits.

‘The alarming thing is that anyone can make an allegation and it can be reported.

‘I’m having bad flashbacks now. I love Dublin and I love the people but I’m very wary of everyone. All I have is my name and my reputation and if either was tarnished, I could never start another band. People are going to be suspicious of me now. I’m scared. I didn’t go to Oxegen last week – I just didn’t want to go – and if someone comes up to me, I’m looking all around me. I’m going to have to hire someone to shadow me when I go to public places.

‘And, yet, I didn’t get any abuse from anyone on the street. I couldn’t believe it. On the Sunday of that weekend, I was walking from Pembroke Street to the Merrion Hotel and so many people came up to me and said, “Just stay strong, we don’t believe it.”

‘It was amazing.’

There have been physical repercussions too after what he calls his biggest nightmare, ever: ‘I’ve lost so much weight, the X Factor wardrobe people had to alter all my clothes for the show. I literally didn’t eat for the first two days but I’m eating again, though I’m careful anyway because of the show.

‘I don’t drink very much at all any more. In fact, I wasn’t drinking in Krystle nightclub on the night of the alleged assault. I wasn’t tempted to hit the bottle during the whole episode because that’s never been a way out for me. I don’t like it and I don’t take drugs either. I’m a boring person.

‘I’m quite happy watching a box set of Mad Man – that’s my thing. Besides everything else, I really had to have my wits about me. It was Law 101 for me. My head was reeling but the more I heard, the more optimistic I got.

‘I’m still not sleeping. I’m still having panic attacks. When I do nap, I wake up and don’t know where I am or what’s happening. Luckily, I’ve been travelling for the X Factor auditions and it’s an amazing distraction. I forget all about the past few weeks when I’m focused on the show and it’s brilliant for me.

‘It’s when I’m on my own in a hotel room that I panic, and I don’t know why I’m panicking.’

Louis is fired up with the prospects for the X Factor with the new judging panel, Gary Barlow of Take That, Kelly Rowland of Destiny’s Child and Tulisa Contostavlos of N-Dubz.

‘Kelly is just the most amazing judge,’ he says. ‘She’s been doing this (music) since she was 11. Tulisa is great. Her mother is from Churchtown and her uncle was in the Sixties folk group, Emmet Spiceland. I’ve become like that with her…’ – he twists his fingers together – ‘…and I just can’t explain it to you. I thought I was going to hate her but she is a gorgeous girl. I sit beside her on the panel. She’s the new Dannii for me.’

There are eight or nine Irish contestants who’ve qualified to attend boot camp, which will be filmed next month, including singers from Belfast, Tyrone, Wexford and Dublin, though Louis admits the new judges are less suggestible and no one will get through just because they’re Irish.

He is determined that the show – this season deprived of Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue – will continue to be the biggest event on British and Irish television and is putting his recent hell behind him.

‘I don’t think I’ll ever complain about anything again in my life because nothing could be worse than what I went through. Nothing,’ he says. ‘If I was told I had cancer, it wouldn’t be as bad as that.’

There is a pause and his face remains motionless for a moment. Then, at last, the old Louis appears from thin air and he says, with a wicked smirk: ‘I even flew with Ryanair the other night and I didn’t complain.’

WONDERLAND

Nothing Moves Me Anymore lyrics

When I had you, I could laugh until I cried
Throw my hands up on a roller coaster ride
When I had you, oh, you could make me mad as hell
And drive me crazy
Ain't that what love's about

But we always made it right
Yes and I was so alive

Nothing moves me anymore
I'm as cold as a stone
I was flesh and blood before
Now I'm only skin and bone
There are no signs of life
I've never felt this empty before
(Yea, I-yea, I-yea, I-yea, I-yea)
Nothing moves me anymore

(Nothing, No, Nothing, No, Moves Me..)

I go to work
I put in my time
If someone asks me
I just say I'm doing fine
When I get home
I pour a glass of red
I turn the lights down
I lay back on my bed
And I let my records play
I close my eyes and wait

Nothing moves me anymore
I'm as cold as a stone
I was flesh and blood before
Now I'm only skin and bone
There's no signs of life
I've never felt this empty before
(Yea, I-yea, I-yea, I-yea, I-yea)
Nothing moves me anymore

Ooohh..
Nothing moves me anymore
Ohhh nooo..

Nothing me anymore
I'm as cold as a stone
And the world at my door
Telling me to just move on
There are no signs of life
I've never felt this empty before
Nothing moves me anymore

Ohh nothing moves me
Cause nothing moves me anymore

I go to work put in my time
If someones asks me
I say I'm doing fine

HE is the pop manager with the Midas touch.

So wannabes from across Ireland, the UK and even Europe are expected in the capital later this month when pop svengali Louis Walsh holds auditions for his latest boyband

Taking place in Dublin's Button Factory on May 19/20/21, the X Factor judge will be helped by long-time friend and Eurovision winner Linda Martin and choreographer Stuart O'Connor.

The successful group could even end up featuring performers with a past, with Walsh telling friends he won't bar members of unsuccessful acts turning up to audition.

"Louis, most of all, understand that there are all sorts of reasons why some groups don't make it. He is prepared to give everyone a chance as long as they are talented and willing to work hard," said one insider.

Pop success could come quickly, with sources saying the Mayo man is already in talks with record labels that want to sign his new act.

"Having turned Boyzone and Westlife into stars overnight, Louis knows exactly what to do and has all the connections to make it happen. He's as hungry to have a hit as his new group," added the insider.

Famous

Former Westlife member Nicky Byrne spoke of Walsh's excitement to get his new group off the ground.

"Louis is in his element when he finds something good and wants to share it with the world.

"He's famous for the X Factor, but at the end of the day, he just loves music and anywhere he lives is crammed with CDs.

"I'm sure he has some great unknown songs picked out already and is waiting to find a group to do them."

The 60-year-old is also working with Shane Filan on a solo album after the Sligo man signed a new record deal with London Records last month.

Walsh is expected to make a call for singers to turn up for auditions in a slew of TV appearances over the next few weeks.

Watch out One Direction! Louis Walsh runs auditions for new boyband

X FACTOR judge Louis Walsh has announced plans to form a new boy band to rival One Direction.

The music manager, 60, confirmed he will hold auditions in Ireland next weekend for five male singers to become the next big act.

Louis, who started the careers of Boyzone and Westlife, said
he already has a record company and high profile partner on side to launch the group.

Kings of pop ... One Direction are now the biggest boy band in the world

“It has been 12 years since I did auditions for a boy band,” he said.

“It’s boys over 16 from anywhere, any nationality, but they must be prepared to work hard. Vocals are key.
“I’m looking for five pop stars and I have a major record company and a high profile UK partner.”

Sales ... Westlife, under Louis' management, sold more than 50 million records

Auditions for 16- to 25-year-olds will take place next Sunday, Monday and Tuesday (May 19-21) from noon at The Button Factory in Temple Bar, Dublin.

Louis, who will return as a judge for the tenth series of the X Factor this year
, is also managing former Westlife frontman Shane Filan, who has signed a solo record deal.

Hits ... Boyzone were managed by Louis Walsh
The Loife and Boyzone have both dominated the pop charts over the last 20 years.
Westlife have sold over 50 million albums worldwide and had 14 number-one singles, while Boyzone sold over 20 million albums - more than Take That - in their 1990s heyday.

But One Direction are hot on their heels - with album sales of 8 million in America alone since their launch in 2010.

I'm happy this is going to be my last year...' Louis Walsh confirms this is his final series as a judge on The X Factor

By JASON CHESTER

Louis Walsh has revealed he plans to quit the hugely popular talent show for good once the current series draws to a close later this year.

He’s been a regular fixture on Saturday night TV since 2004 thanks to his judging role on The X Factor.
But 61-year-old says he wants to bow out in order to focus on other projects.

This is it: Louis Walsh arrives at The X Factor auditions in London ahead of what will be his final series as a judge

‘I’m happy this is going to be my last year,’ he told the TV Times.
‘I’ve been judging X Factor for 10-years so I’ve done it all.
It was never my plan to be on TV but Simon (Cowell) put me there.
I’m very grateful to him but I need my life back.’

With auditions for the latest series – his tenth in total – currently being filmed around the UK, Louis says he already has definite plans for a future away from live TV.

‘I’m going to be managing Shane Filan from Westlife
and I’m putting together a new boyband,’ he said.

Louis’ place on the judging panel was originally compromised in 2007 when he was replaced by American choreographer Brain Friedman, but the decision backfired and Walsh was promptly reinstated, with Friedman taking a new role as the show’s creative director.

Having successfully managed the careers of Irish groups Boyzone and Westlife, Louis began his mainstream TV career on Popstars:  The Rivals before being drafted in as a judge on the first series of The X Factor alongside Sharon Osbourne and show creator Simon Cowell.

A major reshuffle over the ensuing nine-years has seen the panel got through major changes, with Louis now joined by Take That star Gary Barlow, former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger and Osbourne - who returns after a five-year hiatus to temporarily fill the seat vacated by Tulisa Contostavlos.
The change in line-up has also seen a decline in rating, but ITV chief Adam Crozier remains confident the show still has mileage.

‘It’s going to be around for quite some time,’ he said. ‘It remains a very important programme for ITV.’
Louis' tenure on the panel hasn't been without its fair share of laughs - or controversy.

Known for his fondness of novelty acts, Louis has previously advocated the likes of Johnny Robinson, The MacDonald Brothers, Wagner and notorious Irish twins Jedward - who he also manages.
But while there's been plenty of comedy, there's also been the occasional victory  - most notably in 2005 when he mentored Shayne Ward to the winner's crown.

Walsh would eventually become the singer's manager in a partnership with Global Publishing and his Walsh Global Management.

Louis Walsh To Quit The X Factor

Looks like Louis Walsh is going to get out while the going is good as the music mogul has confirmed he will leave The X Factor after this series.

We will be sad to see him go, who is going to keep the Irish hopefuls in the competition? What about Louis’ Limericks? According to bbc.co.uk

Louis will quit the show and concentrate on managing Shane Filan and of course his new boyband (he recently held auditions in Dublin)

Speaking to TV Times magazine he said

“I’m happy this is going to be my last year. I’ve been judging X Factor for 10 years so I’ve done it all.”

“I’m going to be managing Shane Filan from Westlife and I’m putting together a new boy band.”

A spokesperson for The X Factor said:

“We’re delighted Louis is back for a record breaking 10th series this year.

“It’s far too early to say what the judging panel for 2014 may or may not look like.”

The future of The X Factor looks uncertain as their ten-year deal with ITV is drawing to a close although it is believed Simon Cowell is in negotiations about future series, even though with a new baby he may have his hands full!!

At least Sharon Osbourne and Louis will be reunited for one more year – let the fun begin.
