ALTIYAN'S DEBUT IMMINENT





Gosh - that didn't take them long! No sooner has Altiyan Childs won tonight's X Factor on Channel 7 than Sony Music has officially serviced the singer's debut single 'Somewhere In The World'.


The track has just been released through Sony's website BanditFM and will be released tomorrow through other digital retailers.


Sony has also announced the forthcoming release of the singer's debut self-titled album.


The LP features studio versions of some of the songs that Altiyan performed as part of his top 12 journey, including the Bon Jovi classic 'Livin' On A Prayer' and U2's 'Beautiful Day'.


Sony Music CEO Denis Handlin welcomed Altiyan to the Sony Music fold.
"Altiyan has shown great determination and courage throughout the show and I am very pleased that we will be releasing an album of Altiyan’s incredible journey from the show for Christmas."

'Altiyan Childs' the album will hit the shops on Friday December 10.

X Factor winner Altiyan Childs has revealed his secret desires for his upcoming album and that he is ready for love again.

Childs told fans in a Daily Telegraph blog today that he wants to do a duet with Ronan Keating, who he considers a best mate for life.
The single star also said he was ready for a relationship but it would take a "heaven of a woman" to win his heart.

Childs thanked his father for his support last night.

"All I can say is thank you Dad. You were the one who knew that I could do this."

But the decider, rather than the career defining climax, emerged a contest of who could hit the least off notes, or flog the kookiest back story.

The mentors - Kyle Sandilands, Natalie Imbruglia, Guy Sebastian and Ronan Keating - were more compelling than the contestants they were supposed to help shine.

It left hairdresser Sally Chatfield to belt out her diva ballads against cave dweller Childs, whose winning single Somewhere in the World went on sale on Sony's bandit.com.

It's success seems a given but record industry experts don't appear to share mentor Keating's prediction of a global career ahead.

Imbruglia was utterly mesmerising on camera, Keating a poster boy for Irish charm and Sandilands the only one brave enough to tell it how it was.

But it was Sebastian's performance of his new single Who's That Girl which proved telling of the real talent that can be unearthed on shows like this - and the gap to this series' competitors.
